Dedicated, student-focused art educator with over fifteen years teaching experience who is committed to fostering a lifelong appreciation of the visual arts among a diverse population of students. Creating meaningful relationships not only in the classroom but through field trips, visiting artist workshops and educational travel tours.
Experience teaching with the following media: drawing, painting, photography, computers, yearbook, fiber arts (basketweaving, bookbinding, papermaking, recycled art), ceramics, metalsmithing, printmaking and yearbook.
Married for over 13 years to a fantastic man and mother of two beautiful children, who keep me energetic!

ClothingAs a family tradition, a sewing machine is given as a graduation gift for the women in Mrs. Norkus' family. The love of creating something from scratch runs deep in her family, whether it is clothes or quilts.
